The hourly method structures the fees along the number of hours the attorney would require to resolve your case from beginning to end. They could require a retainer from which these hourly rates will be deducted. The downside of this method is, no one really knows how long your case could take. So it could be a bit harsh on your budget.

The flat fee agreement is best for when you have a set budget with no intention to go over that budget. This agreement is often used for fairly straightforward cases. Of course, the case could end up taking more time than was anticipated or less. Whatever you decide, make sure it’s best for you.

There’s nothing wrong with searching out your lawyer. You need to make sure that you understand the person you’re coming to meet. If that attorney is licensed to practice in Florida, there’ll be some information about them online.

You can check up their Florida bar page, social media accounts like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter or even a simple Google search. Look your attorney up. They would often have information about themselves and their past cases online.

Your time is valuable, so is your money. You don’t want to go spending your money on an attorney if you don’t know them and what they can do.
